My Poetry

I miss the time when life was new
When the world was simple and friendship true
I had a friend with whom I loved to play
I was happy and cheerful everyday
We opened worlds and beauty with our minds
Went on every adventure that we could find
Until the day when she disappeared
Friendship broken by young adult fears
20 years later my heart still aches
For the wonderful friendship of my young playmate

Three teeth, a bald head, and a big old wart on his nose
Fat and ugly with shoulders all bowed
Can be sweet and kind with a heart of gold
To me he is a beautiful man to behold

Light and graceful with alabaster skin
Locks of shining gold and a figure that is thin
Can have malice and bigotry and deceit
To me she is the ugliest person to meet

Beauty and grace is only a thin shell
Inside is the beauty that is worthy to tell

Row 33 seat D
You see the crowd but you don't see me
Everyone screams and cheer as you play
I really do care what you have to say
I show you friendship and that I understand
But you can't hear past your screaming fans
So I turn and leave tired of defeat
Row 33 seat D is now an empty seat

I've got my life, and you have yours
Going day to day with our daily chores
The miles separate us so let us forget
What had happened when we last met
But when the time comes for our short meeting
Let us pretend our mundane worlds have no meaning

Vas
(to the tune of pop goes the weasel)

She was my friend forever ago
She filled my life with laughter
For fun and mischief on the go
VAS WAS THE MASTER

I met a man who made me his wife
Then showed I didn't matter
She helped me get rid of my strife
VAS WAS THE MASTER

She has always been a loyal friend
Whenever I would need her
We will stick together until the end
VAS IS THE LEADER
