My Poetry

He sang of a song of true love
A pocket full of lies
A song of hope
A song of dreams
Until the music dies

You sing a song of friendship
The words are all the same
A song of hope
A song of dreams
The truth is not so plain

I sing a song of friendship
You've heard it all before
A song of hope
A song of dreams
Are you still keeping score?

We'll sing the song together
That is all that we can do
A song of hope
A song of dreams
And maybe something new.

In a tiny golden box
With a tiny golden key
Is the tiny golden heart
Of my love who's true to me

Whether he be far or whether he be near,
I protect that tiny box that I hold most dear.

In a tiny golden box
With a tiny golden key
Is my tiny golden heart
My love holds tenderly.

He may be gone for a week, may be gone for a year.
If he has that tiny box, I have nothing to fear.

I love you so at an arm's full length
I don't want to feel, I don't have the strength

The societal norm is a chest full of ice
The second there's a question, they don't even think twice.

How can people today treat each other so cruel?
There's no longer loyalty, their hearts are only tools.

Warm hearts have it hard, we must try to conceal
That our hearts aren't zombies and they can actually feel.

I am your dream
I'm your perfection
Its not what it seams
All this affection

I don't understand
I am just me
Give me your hand
I just can't see

It makes me wonder
What will happen
If you awaken from slumber
And find me lacking

Tough as leather
Soft as lace
Strong as steel
Filled with grace
You wear your armor
I am covered with silk
You love my softness
I adore your ilk
Tough as leather
Soft as lace
Because of your stern scowl
You can enjoy my smiling face.
